Thought for the Week: Zechariah 2:8

by admin on April 7, 2013 in Thought for the Week with No Comments

Lord, loving Father, why do You delight in me? At times I feel arrogant accepting it. Other times, I reject the notion because I know how unlovable I can be. But in my spirit, I know there is truth and peace in receiving Your esteem for me because my identity is rooted in You. You are responsible for any goodness in me, and I want to praise You and Your work by magnifying You with my life and my being. Refine my self-image to Your glory. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

by admin on August 30, 2012 in Faith, Spouse with No Comments

Usually we regard with wonder things so great that we can’t comprehend or replicate them. We regard with pleasure things that bring us joy. And we regard with approval things we value. Lord, thank You that You know each one of our hearts and are big enough to speak to all of them distinctly through the same experience. Speak words of healing to all of us through my wedding. Give me an ear to hear Your will, give me unity with my fiancé, and give me respect and sensitivity for all other parties involved. At the same time, shield me from projections that serve only to steal my joy or to thwart Your glory. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Thought for the Week: 1 John 3:1

by admin on April 1, 2012 in Faith, Thought for the Week with No Comments

Lord, I confess that I put my worth in so many places other than You. I feel the need to accomplish tasks and to please people in order to prove my value. Please forgive me. Change my heart, that I would know with utmost faith that I am Yours. Nothing can ever separate me from Your love, and because of that, I know that I will be a co-heir with Christ. Let that shape my attitude and actions today. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
