Lord, forgive me for being so selfish. I don’t like it when I don’t get my way, and I often take it out on someone else. Give me a desire to seek the best for my fiancé and for my soon-to-be marriage. And in this season of wedding planning, attune me to the desires and needs of others. Give me grace in my actions and gentleness in my words. I want to be a source of Your love and light to all whom are near. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

This young couple, who were friends of the bride and groom, offered a three point teaching based on their own marriage experience. 1) Patience, 2) Partnership, and 3) Passion. They worked in their personal stories in order to illustrate the importance of each tip they were offering. They were public speakers by vocation and were humorous and thoughtful by nature, so their words were easily captivating.
