Lord, thank You so much for my fianc√©. I cannot wait to enlarge the site of our tent and to prepare today so that our tent is expansive and sturdy tomorrow. Give us grace, hope, and strength during the moments that he and I experience growing pains. Fill our marriage with Your promise. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Thought for the Week: Hebrews 4:12

Lord, please forgive me for half-heartedly trying to hear You. Forgive me for my busyness and my distractions, and help me to cut them out. I long to hear You. I desire Your Word to be something I cherish, savor, and crave. Wake me up earlier or bring me into deeper solitude so that I would be available for Your Word, living and active, to penetrate my soul and spirit, to search my heart, and to bring me closer to Your presence. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Thought for the Week: Psalm 39:4-5

Lord, only You know the number of my days. You have given me the truest gift of love, the strongest reflection of Your love, in my beloved. Let me cherish him completely, delight in him with newness each day, and savor him as if today is his last. Let me never be fooled by anger, irritation, mis-communication, or hurt. Let love always win because one day he or I will have to release the other into Your presence, and until Jesus comes again, all we will have are the memories that we have saved. Let them be of the fullest, most selfless love; let them be of Your love through us. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Thought for the Week: Mark 2:1-12

Lord, so many concerns take first place over my need for You. Forgive me. Sit with me, Lord, and sift through my wedding to-do’s, my daily routine, my growing anxieties, my distorted emotions, my physical pains, my shadowed perspective, and my imperfect relationships. Let the un-urgent and the trivial fall away. Leave me instead with a vital understanding that my greatest need is You. Then all else will fall into its proper place on my priority list. You are enough. Be enough for me today. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
