Thought for the Week: Lamentations 3:19-23

“I remember my affliction and my wandering, the bitterness and the gall. I well remember them, and my soul is downcast within me. Yet this I call to mind and therefore I have hope: Because of the LORD’s great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness” (Lamentations 3:19-23).

Lord, forgive me for my selfishness.  Forgive me for my sins of omission as well as those I do willingly.  Search my heart and correct my sinful nature.  Have mercy on me.  Thank You for Your great love that lifts me up each day.  Thank You for Your daily compassion and restoration.  Renew my spirit, Lord, to be right before You.  In Jesus’ name, Amen.
